Goldston hits game-winner to lift Georgia State in win

ATLANTA (AP)—Trae Goldston made a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left to lift Georgia State to a 57-55 win over Northeastern on Saturday.

The Huskies (12-13, 8-7 Colonial Athletic Association) took a 54-46 lead with 4:47 remaining in the second half on a layup by Manny Adako, who finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

But the Panthers (7-18, 4-11) responded with an 11-1 run to finish the game. Leonard hit two straight 3-pointers and Justin Billingslea added a layup to trim the lead to 55-54. Then Goldston followed with the game winner.

Michael Moynihan led Georgia State with 15 points, while Mendez added 14. The Panthers reserves outscored Northeastern’s 18-7.

Matt Janning scored 19 points for the Huskies.
