Dayton 77, Temple 66

DAYTON, Ohio (AP)—Brian Roberts scored 23 points and Dayton shot 57 percent from the field in beating Temple 77-66 on Saturday.

The Flyers (17-7, 5-6 Atlantic 10) were on top 34-29 at the half and built the lead to as much as 17 in the second half.

Andres Sandoval added 15 points and Marcus Johnson had 13 for Dayton, which hit 28-of-49 shots from the field, including 9-of-15 3-pointers.

Mark Tyndale and Dionte Christmas each had 19 points, Ryan Brooks 12 and Chris Clark 10 for the Owls (13-11, 6-4).

Dayton never trailed after a Sandoval 3-pointer erased a 10-8 deficit at the 13:52 mark of the first half. Temple got as close as three points early in the second half before the Flyers went on a 12-2 run which included a 3-pointer by Jimmy Binnie and two three-point plays by Johnson.
