Dieng leads St. Francis, Pa., past St. Francis, N.Y., 63-50
NEW YORK (AP)—Bassirou Dieng scored 20 points to help St. Francis of Pennsylvania snap a three-game losing streak with a 63-50 victory over St. Francis of New York on Thursday night.
Chris Berry added 10 points for the Red Flash (6-18, 4-9 Northeast Conference). Ricky Cadell had 15 points for the Terriers (5-20, 2-12) in their eighth straight loss.
The Terriers’ Bass Yessoufou scored the first three points of the second half to cut the deficit to 30-25. The Red Flash then responded with a 20-8 burst that turned the game into a rout at 58-33. Dieng had seven points in the run.
