Moore’s double-double leads Eastern Washington past Weber State
CHENEY, Wash. (AP)—Brandon Moore scored a season-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Eastern Washington knocked off Weber State 69-57 on Thursday night.
Marcus Hinton added 12 points and Adris DeLeon 11 for the Eagles (10-17 overall, 5-8 Big Sky).
Daviin Davis led the Wildcats (12-11, 7-4) with 16 points.
Eastern Washington led 60-51 with 5 minutes left when Hinton scored seven straight points, capped by a three-point play with 2:16 left to put the Eagles up 67-51.
Weber State jumped up 6-0 to start the game and led 18-14 on a 3-pointer by Jamaine Nance midway through the first half. But Eastern Washington responded with a 19-3 run to close the half and grab a 33-21 lead. Kellen Williams scored all nine of his points during the run for the Eagles.
The Wildcats never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.
Moore made 8 of 10 shots for Eastern Washington.
Dezmon Harris scored all 13 of his points in the second half for Weber State, which made just 3 of 21 3-point attempts. Kellen McCoy added 11 points and Arturas Valeika had nine rebounds for the Wildcats.
