Medlock’s 26 points lead E. Michigan past Bowling Green, 78-68
YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP)—Carlos Medlock matched his career-high 26 points and had five assists to help Eastern Michigan win its second straight home game on Wednesday night, a 78-68 victory over Bowling Green.
The Falcons (11-12, 6-5 Mid-American) cut the lead to 58-56 on Brian Moten’s 3-pointer with seven minutes to play, but Eastern Michigan answered with five straight points in the next three minutes. Bowling Green never got closer than five points the rest of the game.
Medlock was 5-for-5 from behind the arc and 9-for-10 from the free-throw line for the Eagles (9-14, 5-6), who also got 11 points from Justin Dobbins and 10 from Jesse Bunkley.
Chris Knight had 15 points to lead the Falcons. Moten added 14 and Nate Miller had 13 points and six assists.
Eastern Michigan had a 10-0 run midway through the first half to take the lead for good and was ahead 34-28 at intermission.
