Curry leads Davidson past Coll. of Charleston 81-56
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP)—Stephen Curry scored 26 points and Davidson beat the College of Charleston 81-56 to claim its 13th straight victory.
Jason Richards had 11 points and 10 assists and Boris Meno finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (17-6, 15-0 Southern Conference), which outrebounded the Cougars 41-33 and turned 18 turnovers into 17 points.
Tony White Jr. had 13 points and Andrew Goudelock finished with 12 for Charleston (11-13, 6-8).
Curry, who reached double figures for the 50th straight game, finished 7-of-14 from the field and 6-of-10 from 3-point range, and hit two 3s during an 18-5 first-half burst that gave Davidson a 28-13 lead.
The Wildcats’ lead grew to 34 in the final minutes. They have been 15-0 twice before under coach Bob McKillop and went on to finish unbeaten in the Southern Conference both times.
