Bennett leads South Alabama to 81-58 win over Arkansas St.

MOBILE, Ala. (AP)—Demetric Bennett had 23 points to lead South Alabama to an 81-58 victory over Arkansas State Thursday night.

South Alabama led by six points, 39-33, going into the half, but managed to outscore Arkansas State 42-25 in the second half.

Bennett was joined in double figure scoring by two other players. Domonic Tilford had 21 points and Brandon Davis added 11 more.

Adrian Banks led Arkansas State with 22 points, Yima Chia-Kur added 14 and Shawn Morgan had 11.

The Jaguars outrebounded the Indians 40-28 and shot 50 percent compared to the Indians’ 36 percent.
