Curry scores 36 to lead Davidson past Elon 74-64
DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP)—Stephen Curry had his third straight 30-point game at home, scoring 36 points to lead Davidson past Elon 74-64 on Wednesday night for the Wildcats’ 12th straight Southern Conference victory.
Curry hit 12-of-18 shots for the Wildcats (16-6, 14-0), Jason Richards added 16 points and the duo combined to carry their team down the stretch.
After Elon (7-15, 5-9) cut it to 62-58 with 3:16 remaining, Curry and Richards combined to score Davidson’s final 12 points.
Ola Atoyebi led Elon with 14 points, Brett James had 13 points and 11 rebounds, Adam Constantine also had 13 points and T.J. Douglas scored 12 for Elon.
