William & Mary gets 5 in double figures, tops UNC-Wilmington 70-66
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP)—Laimis Kisielius and John Sexton scored 15 points apiece to lead William & Mary to a 70-66 win over North Carolina-Wilmington on Saturday night.
William & Mary (12-9, 8-3 Colonial Athletic Association) won for the eighth time in nine games. Six of the last seven wins have come by four points or less.
Nathan Mann added 11 points for the Tribe. Peter Stein and David Schneider scored 10 apiece.
Vladimir Kuljanin had 18 points and 14 rebounds while Chad Tomko had 16 for UNC-Wilmington (14-9, 7-4), which saw its five-game winning streak snapped.
UNC-Wilmington led 32-30 at halftime but was outscored 40-34 in the second half.
William & Mary shot 50 percent from the floor after halftime and set a school record with 39 3-point attempts, making 13. It marked the fourth straight game in which it has made at least 10.
