Toolson scores 29 in a Wolverine 72-57 victory over Arkansas St.
OREM, Utah (AP)—Ryan Toolson scored a game-high 29 points as Utah Valley State beat Arkansas State 72-57 Tuesday night.
Richard Troyer added 22 points for the Wolverines (10-13) as they won their fourth straight.
The Wolverines scored 18 points off 12 Arkansas State turnovers, which proved to be the difference. Utah Valley State allowed just three points off of six turnovers.
Despite a poor start to the second half, Utah Valley State held firm after the Indians (9-12) threatened to come back from a 17-point deficit.
Arkansas State used an 18-6 run after halftime to get within five points with 12:56 left.
Yima Chia-Kur led the Indians with 14 points.
A 7-0 run over the last three minutes of the first half gave the Wolverines a 40-23 halftime lead, the largest in the game.
