Harris has 23 as La Salle beats St. Bonaventure 84-61
PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Darnell Harris hit all seven of his 3-pointers and finished with 23 points as La Salle breezed past St. Bonaventure 84-61 on Wednesday night.
Paul Johnson added 16 points, Rodney Green contributed 11 and Kimmani Barrett had 10 for the Explorers (8-11, 3-3 Atlantic 10), who rebounded from two straight losses and equaled their conference victory total from all of last season.
Michael Lee had 19 points and 10 rebounds for St. Bonaventure (6-14, 0-6), while Tyler Relph added 13 points and Matt Morgan had 10. The Bonnies dropped their sixth straight game and 12th in a row on the road, dating back to the final game of last season. They are 0-11 on the road this season.
La Salle was 13-of-21 from 3-point territory in the first half and cruised to a 50-33 lead at the break. The Explorers then scored the first eight points of the second half to take a commanding 57-33 advantage. They converted a season-high 16 3-pointers and wound up 16-of-28.
La Salle has now won six of its last seven games against St. Bonaventure, which shot just 39 percent from the field with 20 turnovers. The Bonnies, the last remaining Atlantic 10 team without a victory, are 3-33 in conference games on the road since the 2003-04 season.
