Gibbs and Christensen lead New Hampshire to a 74-59 victory over Hartford
DURHAM, N.H. (AP)—Tyrece Gibbs scored 22 points and Mike Christensen added 18 to lead New Hampshire to a 74-59 victory over Hartford on Sunday.
The Wildcats (6-13, 3-4 America East) scored 19 straight points early in the second half to overcome a nine-point deficit and take a 49-39 lead. Hartford (10-12, 4-3) went scoreless for 6:45 during the outbreak.
Christensen led the charge with four 3-pointers, including three straight. New Hampshire later went on an 11-0 run to increase the spread to 69-49 with about three minutes left.
Morgan Sabia led Hartford with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Hartford shot only 28 percent from the floor in the second half, including only 3 of 14 3-pointers.
