Trifunovic scores 26 points as Binghamton beat Maine 69-58
ORONO, Maine (AP)—Lazar Trifunovic scored 26 points to lead Binghamton to a 69-58 victory over Maine on Sunday.
Binghamton (10-10, 6-2 America East) led 30-28 at the half, and then scored the first seven points of the second half to take a nine-point lead. Chretien Lukusa and Trifunovic each had a steal and a layup to key the run.
Maine (6-14, 2-5) managed to close within three late in the game, but Binghamton pulled away again by hitting its free throws down the stretch.
Kaimondre Owes led Maine with 15 points.
Maine outrebounded Binghamton 40-27, but shot only 32 percent while Binghamton shot 47 percent.
