Bucknell holds on to beat Colgate 65-61
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Justin Castleberry scored 22 points and Bucknell built an early lead and then held on to beat Colgate 65-61 Saturday night.
John Griffin added 10 points in the win.
Willie Morse scored 19 points, Kyle Roemer 12, and Kendall Chones added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Colgate (9-10, 1-4 Patriot League).
Helped by 50-percent (12-for24) shooting in the first half, Bucknell (9-10, 4-1) raced to a 39-25 lead and moved out to a 14-point lead with 5:42 left.
Colgate started is comeback and pulled within three points when Morse hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left. But Griffin was fouled and made the first of two free throws in the final second to help seal the win.
