JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP)—Charron Fisher scored 29 points to lead Niagara to an easy 79-59 win over St. Peter’s on Friday night.
Tyrone Lewis added 25 points—including six 3-pointers— and Benson Egemonye finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Purple Eagles (12-6, 6-3 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Darrell Lampley had 16 points for the Peacocks (4-15, 1-8), while Nick Leon added 12.
The teams traded baskets early on, but Niagara took control with a 17-4 run that featured four 3-pointers by Lewis. The run spanned nearly seven minutes, from the end of the first half through the opening minutes of the second half.
Neither team had a good night from the floor, as Niagara shot just 32.4 percent and St. Peter’s hit just 35.1 percent. The Purple Eagles, though, took advantage of sloppy play by the Peacocks, who committed 19 turnovers.
