Wilson leads Bradley to 76-75 win over Illinois State
PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Theron Wilson scored 20 points, including the game-winning foul shot with eight seconds left, to lead Bradley to a 76-75 win over Illinois State on Wednesday night.
Bradley (10-10, 3-5 Missouri Valley) sank 13 3-pointers, including five by Wilson and four from Andrew Warren, who finished with 17 points. Jeremy Crouch added 12 points and Daniel Ruffin, playing for the first time since Dec. 22 because of a sports hernia, chipped in 11 points for the Braves.
After Wilson’s second free-throw attempt missed, Osiris Eldridge missed a shot from the corner and Dinma Odiakosa was unable to convert the rebound as time expired for Illinois State (14-5, 6-2).
The back-and-forth game had 11 ties and 11 lead changes, along with 38 fouls, including five technicals. Illinois State led 38-37 at halftime.
Boo Richardson led the Redbirds with 17 points. Dom Johnson added 15 points, Eldridge had 11 points and Emmanuel Holloway chipped in 10 points for Illinois State.
