Kisielius leads William & Mary in win over Towson, 61-51
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP)—Laimis Kisielius had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead William & Mary to a 61-51 win over Towson on Saturday, extending the Tribe’s Colonial Athletic Association win streak to five.
William & Mary (9-8, 5-2) opened with a 12-0 run and led 30-27 at the half.
The Tigers (6-11, 2-5) got to within 53-50 with 5:48 to play on a 3-pointer by Josh Thornton, but the Tribe padded its lead with late-game pair of jumpers and free throws.
William & Mary went 38 percent shooting for the game, 71.4 percent from the free throw line. Towson was 32.7 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from the foul line.
Peter Stein added 15 points for William & Mary, and Nathan Mann and Danny Sumner each had 10.
Tim Crossin led Towson with 14 points.
