Morris’ 18 points leads Boston University to 59-52 victory over Stony Brook
STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP)—Tyler Morris scored 18 points and Scott Brittain had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Boston University to a 59-52 victory over Stony Brook on Saturday.
Matt Wolff went 4-for-4 from 3-point range and had 13 points for the Terriers (5-12, 2-3 America East).
Ricky Lucas and Mitchell Beauford both had 11 points for the Seawolves (4-13, 1-4), who lost their third straight.
A layup by Beauford gave Stony Brook a 37-28 lead with 13:51 to play. The Terriers went on an 18-6 run keyed by three of Wolff’s 3-pointers.
The Seawolves closed within 52-50 on a 3-pointer by Michael Tyree with 1:12 remaining, but the Terriers ended the game on a 7-2 run.
