Adams has 17 points; Centenary comes from behind to beat IUPUI
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP)—Chase Adams had 17 points and Lance Hill made six of his nine during a run that brought Centenary from behind to beat IUPUI 64-58 on Saturday.
Centenary (9-10, 3-4 Summit) trailed 36-29 at halftime and 46-40 with 10 minutes left.
In addition to getting nearly half his team’s points in the 13-2 run that followed, Hill opened up outside shots for Tyrone Hamilton, whose 3-pointer put the Gents ahead 51-50 with 5:50 left. Hill added another basket to make the score 55-50.
Adams hit a running one-handed shot, then was fouled as he made a 3-point shot. He made the free throw, putting Centenary ahead by seven, and got Centenary’s next two points on free throws.
George Hill had 14 points and 13 rebounds for IUPUI (14-4, 5-2). Billy Pettiford added 13 points.
Justin Glenn had 11 rebounds for Centenary.
