Drake wins over Bradley 69-68
PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Adam Emmenecker scored a layup with seconds left in the game to give Drake a 69-68 win over Bradley on Wednesday.
Leonard Houston led Drake (15-1, 6-0 Missouri Valley Conference) with 19 points and seven rebounds, but he also received a technical foul. Both Jonathan Cox and Emmenecker had 12 points for the Bulldogs.
The victory leaves Drake with its first 6-0 conference play record for the first time since the 1969-1970 season.
Bradley (8-10, 1-5 Missouri Valley Conference) led 29-27 at halftime, but Drake came back after the break to outscore the Braves 42-39 in the second period. It was a close game throughout, with the lead changing 16 times and the score tied nine times.
Andrew Warren led the Braves with 21 points and six rebounds. Jeremy Crouch had 16 points and Sam Maniscalco had 13 points, six rebounds and a team-high seven assists.
Drake earned 14 points off the bench, while Bradley had seven.
