Niagara 80, Manhattan 63
LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP)—Charron Fisher scored a game-high 32 points to lead Niagara to an 80-63 victory over Manhattan Sunday in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play.
Niagara (11-4, 5-1 MAAC) used an 21-1 early run to take a 21-3 lead. Manhattan (8-8, 2-4 MAAC) was led by Antoine Pearson and Nick Walsh as each scored 11 points.
Fisher?s scoring outburst marked his sixth game scoring 30-or-more in his last 10 contests. Teammate Benson Egemonye added 18 points.
Manhattan?s Devon Auston scored the game?s first points before Niagara went on its run. Fisher (7 points) and Egemonye (6 points) fueled the run. Manhattan committed six turnovers and made only 1-of-11 field goals during the streak. Fisher finished the half with 15 points as the Purple Eagles held a 39-21 lead at the break.
Manhattan got within 10, 66-56, when Laurence Jolicoeur completed a conventional three-point play at 5:42. Jolicoeur came off of the bench to score 10 second-half points. Fisher then scored four-straight points and Niagara was not threatened.
