FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP)—Chris Perkins scored 16 points as one of six Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne players to reach double figures during a 71-52 Summit League win over Centenary College on Saturday.
Jakari Johnson and DeWitt Scott added 11 points for IPFW (5-11, 2-3), and Jaraun Burrows contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds. David Carson and Ben Botts also chipped in 10 points for the Mastodons.
Lance Hill led Centenary (7-9, 1-3) with 19 points. Tyrone Hamilton and Chase Adams finished with 9 points each.
Centenary jumped out to a 9-1 lead and led for most of the first half until IPFW tied it on a free throw by Johnson with 4:16 left. Scott then sank a 3-pointer with 35 seconds left to give the Mastodons a 31-25 halftime lead.
IPFW then steadily added to its lead in the second half, never letting Centenary get closer than three points.
The Mastodons made 13 of 23 field goals in the second half and shot 50 percent for the game. Centenary, meanwhile, made 35 percent of its field goals but only five of 21 3-pointers.
