Honore’s 19 points lead Southern over Grambling, 76-56

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP)—Barry Honore made 19 points and Chris Davis 17 to lead Southern over Grambling State 76-56 on Saturday night.

Steffon Wiley added 12 points for Southern (4-10, 2-1 SWAC), which led 44-25 at halftime.

After Grambling (0-10, 0-3) tied the score at 2-2, Jazz Williams hit his only basket of the game—a 3-point shot—to put Southern ahead for good.

The Jaguars’ biggest lead, 69-42, came on a free throw by Julius Ingram with 5:27 left.

Duran Diaz had 19 points and Anthony Williams 11 to lead Grambling.
