Hasbrouck scores 28, leading Siena past Saint Peter’s 79-56

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP)—Kenny Hasbrouck scored 28 points to lead Siena to a 79-56 victory over Saint Peter’s on Sunday.

The Saints (8-5, 3-0 Metro Atlantic) used an 11-0 run to build a 21-7 lead, and took a 38-21 advantage into the break. Hasbrouck hit a pair of 3-pointers and Edwin Ubiles scored on a layup to make it 46-21 out of halftime, and Siena would never be threatened the rest of the way.

Freshman Ryan Rossiter had a career-high 12 rebounds to go with seven points for Siena, which shot 53 percent from the floor (31-59) while holding Saint Peter’s to 39.7 percent.

Raul Orta scored 16 points to lead Saint Peter’s (4-10, 1-3). Darrell Lampley added 11 points off the bench, and Todd Sowell had 10 points and nine rebounds.
