Mitchell leads Missouri State to 91-80 win over Bradley
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP)—Deven Mitchell scored 25 points and Dale Lamberth had a double-double to lead Missouri State to a 91-80 win over Bradley on Wednesday night.
Mitchell scored 12 points in a 9:09 span midway in the second half to lead a Missouri State comeback after Bradley (7-7, 0-2 Missouri Valley) scored the first 13 points of the game and led 45-41 at halftime.
Bradley led 60-54 when Spencer Laurie hit three 3-pointers for Missouri State (8-6, 1-1) to narrow Bradley’s lead to 66-63 with 12:03 left.
Two Mitchell free throws and a basket by Drew Richards put Missouri State up 67-66 with 10:40 left, and the Bears closed the game with a 24-14 run.
Laurie finished with 20 points, Lamberth had 16 points and 16 rebounds, and Richards had 10 points.
Andrew Warren led Bradley with 20 points, Sam Maniscalco had 16, Jeremy Crouch had 13 and Theron Wilson added 10.
