Ingram’s no-miss 18 points lead Southern over Dillard, 86-67

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP)—Julius Ingram had 18 points and never missed a shot as Southern beat Dillard 86-67 on Saturday.

Dillard (4-4) kept it close for about five minutes, leading 11-8 after a layup and free throw by Marion Washington.

But Barry Honore hit a layup and Steffon Wiley a 3-point shot to put the Jaguars (2-9) ahead for good, 13-11, with 13:58 left in the quarter. Southern led 48-31 at halftime.

Ingram hit all six of his field goal and five free throw attempts.

Honore finished with 14 points, and Wiley and Joe Holliday with 11 points each.

David Manning led Dillard with 12 points; Demarcus Hall added 11.
