ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)—Jermaine Taylor scored 21 points and Tony Davis finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Central Florida beat winless New Jersey Tech 82-50 Sunday in a semifinal game of the UCF Holiday Classic.

The Knights (6-6) play Long Island in Monday’s championship game.

UCF opened the game with a 14-3 run and led 44-18 at halftime, spoiling the return of NJIT coach Jim Casciano, who was back on the bench for the first time since taking a medical leave of absence Nov. 11.

All 12 UCF players who got into the game scored, and the Knights outrebounded NJIT 41-28.

Justin Garris and Kraig Peters each had eight points for NJIT (0-14), which meets Texas Pan-American in Monday’s consolation game.
