Logan scores 20 to help Northern Illinois beat Arkansas-Little Rock 59-55

DEKALB, Ill. (AP)—Shaun Logan scored 20 points to help Northern Illinois get past Arkansas-Little Rock 59-55 on Saturday at the NIU Convocation Center.

Darion Anderson added 13 points and Egan Grafel chipped in 11 points for the Huskies (3-9).

Terrance Akins scored a game-high 25 points for Arkansas-Little Rock (9-3), which had no other players in double digits. Akins’ point total Saturday was a career high for the guard.

Northern Illinois went into halftime with a 32-29 advantage in a game where the lead changed seven times. The Trojans lead by as much as 12 points in the first half.

Arkansas-Little Rock went on a 14-0 run to take a 49-44 lead with 7:51 left in the game. But the Huskies rallied and held a 57-55 with 1:25 to go. The Trojans had opportunities to score, but missed their last three shots.
