Marcus Van’s 16 points help Cent. Michigan rout Tiffin 100-34
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP)—Marcus Van had 16 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots as Central Michigan defeated Tiffin 100-34 on Saturday.
The Chippewas’ 100 points marked the first time in four seasons that Central Michigan (5-7) has reached the century mark.
CMU never trailed Tiffin (2-12) as the Chippewas opened the game on a 15-0 run.
The Chippewas shot 61 percent for the game on 41-of-67 shooting and had runs of at least 10 points on four different occasions.
Chase Simon and Jordan Bitzer each scored 13 points for Central Michigan, while Giordan Watson had 12 points and seven assists. Jeremy Allen added 11 points and three rebounds.
Alex Strok had 16 points to lead Tiffin.
