Brown leads Idaho over Cent. Arkansas 80-58
MOSCOW, Idaho (AP)—Brandon Brown led Idaho with a game-high 18 points Tuesday night as the Vandals rolled past Central Arkansas 80-58.
Mike Hall added 13 for the winners (3-7).
Marcus Pillow scored 14 points for the Bears (9-3).
Central Arkansas fell behind 12-2 and then by as many as 24 points twice late in the first half. The Bears shot just 20.8 percent (5-for-24) through the first 20 minutes, but went 14-for-18 from the free throw line.
Idaho was led in the opening period by Brown and Hall, who scored 13 points each. Brown helped the Vandals pull away with nine points in a four-minute span, turning a 12-10 advantage into a 15-point lead. Idaho hit seven of its 16 first-half 3-point attempts.
In the second half, the Vandals led by as many as 30 points.
Central Arkansas beat Idaho 65-49 on Dec. 5 in Conway, Ark.
