Centenary allows La Tech only one fg in last 13 minutes, wins
BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP)—Tyrone Hamilton and Lance Hill had 14 points each and Centenary allowed Louisiana Tech only one field goal in the last 12 minutes on the way to a 62-50 victory Thursday night.
Centenary (7-4) also got 13 points from Nick Stallings, and Anthony Gatlin grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs (1-7) led by five points early in the first half, but then went more than eight minutes without a field goal.
J.C. Clark, who finished with 15 points, hit a jump shot to tie the halftime score 30-30. With 12:04 left, Tech had a 48-47 edge, but got only one more field goal for the rest of the game.
Keith Smith also had 15 points for Tech; he and Drew Washington had five rebounds each.
