Lowe’s 3-pointers lead Boston U over Yale, 76-67

NEW HAVEN (AP)Corey Lowe hit seven three-pointers and finished with a career-high 35 points Tuesday to lead Boston University to a 76-67 win over Yale.

Carlos Strong added 16 points for the Terriers (3-6). Yale was led by Eric Flato with 15 points.

The Bulldogs (3-6) scored the first five points of the game but Boston University rolled off eight straight points and never trailed again.

BU opened up a 17-9 lead on back-to-back 3-pointers by Lowe.

The Terriers stretched the advantage to 35-19 after another 3-pointer by Lowe and one from John Holland. Lowe had 17 points at the half including five of Boston University?s eight three-pointers as BU took a 38-26 lead into intermission.

Yale scored the first four points of the second half to cut the deficit to 38-30 but could not get closer.

Boston University twice used 8-2 runs in the second half to build 15-point leads.
