Price hits winner with seconds left asTennessee State gets by Eastern Illinois 74-72

CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP)—Tennessee State guard Bruce Price hit the game winner with 3.1 seconds remaining to lift the Tigers past Eastern Illinois 74-72 in Ohio Valley Conference play Saturday night.

Just 30 second earlier, Eastern Illinois forward Bobby Catchings hit one of two free throws to tie the game at 72-72.

The Tigers (3-5, 1-1) trailed 39-26 at halftime but clawed their way back.

Price lead the Tigers in scoring with 21 points. Gerald Robinson added 18, and Darius Cox chipped in 11.

The Panthers (1-8, 0-2) were led in scoring by Bobby Catchings, who had a game-high 25 points. Romain Martin added 24 for Eastern Illinois.
