Arkansas St. empties bench in blowout against Cent. Baptist

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP)—Four Arkansas State players scored in double digits as the Indians rolled over Central Baptist 101-49 on Saturday.

Yima Chia-Kur led Arkansas State (3-5) with 17 points. The Indians were without leading scorer Adrian Banks, who was suspended after his Dec. 2 arrest for firing a gun inside Jonesboro city limits.

Ryan Wedel and Jeremy Thomas each added 13 points for the Indians, and Shawn Morgan had 11.

Central Baptist (3-11) was led by Trad Williams’ 14 points.

The Indians pulled ahead to a 54-21 halftime lead, and Arkansas State’s bench played most of the second half.

Central Baptist had 19 turnovers in the loss.
