Harris’ 14 leads Coastal Carolina to 61-54 win over Presbyterian
CONWAY, S.C. (AP)—Joseph Harris scored 14 points and had 14 rebounds to lead Coastal Carolina to a 61-54 win over Presbyterian on Friday night.
The Blue Hose (1-10) had a chance to win only their second game in Division I. Trailing 56-54 with under three minutes to go, they missed two shots and turned the ball over before getting a technical on the bench.
Jack Leasure hit both free throws for the Chanticleers and Presbyterian wouldn’t score again the rest of the game.
Coastal Carolina (4-3) trailed only once—midway through the first half— but the Chanticleers never led by more than seven points.
Coastal Carolina outrebounded Presbyterian 42-33, but the Chanticleers turned the ball over 21 times.
Bryan Bostic scored 15 points and was 5-of-8 on 3-pointers, while Al’lonzo Coleman added 13 points for the Blue Hose.
Leasure scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds, while Logan Johnson added 11 points and seven rebounds for Coastal Carolina.
