Brown scores 23 points to lead Army past N.J. Tech
NEWARK, N.J. (AP)—Jarell Brown scored 23 points to lead Army to a 54-44 win over the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Thursday night.
Josh Miller added nine points and eight rebounds for the Black Knights (4-4), which never trailed. Jheryl Wilson had 16 points to lead the Highlanders (0-10), while Nesho Milosevic pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
Army took command early on, jumping out to a 14-0 lead and led 29-19 at the break. The teams then traded baskets for most of the second half, but the Highlanders—who committed 23 turnovers—could not overcome their own sloppy play.
Army also won the battle of the boards, outrebounding the Highlanders 35-33.
