STILLWATER, Okla. (AP)—James Anderson scored a game-high 22 points as Oklahoma State pulled away from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the second half for a 60-46 victory Wednesday night.

The Cowboys (4-3) widened their advantage over the Islanders in the first 9:02 of the second half after leading by just three points at halftime. OSU took control of the game on a 21-4 run.

Anderson’s three-point play on an alley oop from Nick Sidorakis and his two free throws a few minutes later keyed the Cowboys’ surge and gave them a 47-27 lead.

Anderson scored seven of the Cowboys’ 21 points, and Martavius Adams contributed four during that nine-minute stretch.

Adams, who was averaging just 3.5 points, was the only other OSU player in double figures with 10 points. Marcus Dove finished with six points and a team-best eight rebounds.

The Islanders (1-5) were led by Isaiah Jackson with 12 points, while Justin Reynolds contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 7-footer Chris Daniels was held to a season-low four points, which was more than 12 below his 16.4-point average.

The Islanders made just 16 shots from the field, while committing 23 turnovers.

They made just two of their first 15 shots, and finished 16 of 49 from the field (32.7 percent), the best defensive effort by Oklahoma State this season. The Cowboys were not much better in the shooting department, hitting a season-low 33.9 percent from the field.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi lost to Oklahoma State for the fifth time in six years. The 46 points was the fewest scored by the Islanders since a 67-31 loss to Air Force on Jan. 21, 2004.
