Baumann scores 29 points and Columbia snaps Wagner’s 4-game winning streak, 79-65

NEW YORK (AP)—John Baumann scored 29 points and Columbia snapped Wagner’s four-game winning streak, 79-65 on Tuesday night.

Mack Montgomery had 13 points for the Lions (3-5), who led 40-29 at halftime. Justin Armstrong and K.J. Matsui added 12 apiece.

Mark Porter had 25 points for the Seahawks (5-3). Joey Mundweiler added 14 and Jamal Smith 11.

The Ivy Leaguers jumped off to a 16-5 lead at 12:20 on a layup by Matsui. They increased the lead to 31-17 on a 3-pointer by Montgomery with 5:34 left.

Wagner pulled to 56-49 with 9:43 to go on two free throws by Porter, but could get no closer.
