McNeese State gets convincing win over Dillard
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP)—Jarvis Bradley led four McNeese State players in double-digit scoring as the Cowboys turned back Dillard University 87-53 on Tuesday night.
Joining Bradley were Diego Kapelan, who had 15 first half points, and John Ford and Stephan Martin each added 10.
McNeese (4-3) led all the way, outrebounding the Blue Devils 48-22. Kleon Penn led the way for the Cowboys with nine and he had five blocked shots.
Autrail Manning led Dillard (4-4) with 13 points, while David Manning added 10.
Dillard scored the game’s first basket but after that it was all McNeese State. The Cowboys went on a 10-2 run to take a six point lead, was up by 15 with 6:43 left in the first half and had a 37-22 edge at halftime.
In the second half, the Cowboys scored the first seven points to go up by 23 and they continued their onslaught from there. Their biggest lead was the margin at the end of the game, 34 points.
