Wilson’s 3-pointer at buzzer gives NAU win over Western Kentucky

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP)—Josh Wilson hit a last-second 3-pointer to give Northern Arizona a 64-61 win over Western Kentucky on Saturday night.

Wilson’s one-handed, off-balance shot came with two-tenths of a second remaining after Orlando Mendez-Valdez had tied the score at 61 on a 3-pointer with seven seconds left.

Nate Geiser scored 15 points to pace the Lumberjacks (4-3) while Kyle Landry added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Tyrone Brazelton and Mendez-Valdez each scored 14 points for Western Kentucky (5-2).

Courtney Lee added 11 points for the Hilltoppers, who trailed 36-30 at halftime.
