Hot shooting leads Wofford to 85-35 win over D-II Toccoa
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP)—Noah Dahlman scored 11 points and had eight rebounds to help Wofford to an 85-35 win over Toccoa Falls on Monday night.
The Terriers (3-1) shot 64.3 percent (36-of-56) from the floor and outrebounded the Division II Eagles by an amazing margin of 54-7. All 10 of their players scored.
Wofford scored the first seven points of the game, but Toccoa Falls (4-5) managed to cut the deficit to 7-6. That was as close as the Eagles would get as the Terriers scored the next 24 points.
Toccoa Falls made just 4-of-23 shots (17.4 percent) in the first half and trailed 53-12 at halftime.
Corey Godzinski, Marcus Jackson and Terry Martin also each scored 11 points for Wofford, while Norm Nixon added six points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Cody Clevenger led the Eagles with nine points, while Kerington Youmans added eight points.
