Gransberry has 21 in USF’s 77-69 win over FIU

MIAMI (AP)—Kentrell Gransberry scored a game-high 21 points, including 3-4 shooting from behind the arc, as South Florida beat Florida International 77-69 Monday night.

The Bulls outshot the Golden Panthers 53.8 percent to 36.5 percent. Jesus Verdejo had 15 points and five rebounds for South Florida (4-3). Dominidue added 14 points and five rebounds.

FIU led by as many as 7 midway through the first-half, but South Florida went on a 15-4 run to take a 30-26 lead. The Bulls led 38-34 at halftime and never trailed in the second half.

Kenneth White led FIU (2-1) with 15 points and six rebounds. Russell Hicks nearly had a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
