Bowie leads Central Arkansas over Jacksonville State 76-72
CONWAY, Ark. (AP)—Nate Bowie scored 23 points and made four steals to lead Central Arkansas to a 76-72 win Saturday over Jacksonville State.
Forward York Sims contributed 18 points, while Durrell Nevels pulled down 14 rebounds to help Central Arkansas (5-1) win a back-and-forth game. Jacksonville State (2-4) led by as many as 10 points early in the first half, but Central Arkansas came back strong and had a 15-point lead by the middle of the second.
Dorien Brown led the Gamecocks with 17 points, followed by guards DeAndre Bray and Will Ginn with 15 and 16.
Central Arkansas shot only 43 percent from the field, while Jacksonville State shot 54 percent.
