Hartford beats Jackson State in third round of Las Vegas Invitational
LAS VEGAS (AP)—Joe Zeglinski scored 15 points and Warren McLendon added 14 to lead Hartford to a 73-57 victory over Jackson State in the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational Friday.
Michael Turner scored 12 points and Morgan Sabia had 10 for the Hawks (2-4).
Grant Maxey led Jackson State (0-5) with 14 points, while Catraiva Givens had 13. Darrion Griffin added 10 points and five rebounds for the Tigers.
The Hawks dominated most of the first half and reached a 38-32 lead at halftime. The Tigers cut the lead to 45-43 with 14:32 left, but got no closer.
