McKiver hits career high as Houston wins, 84-69

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP)—Robert McKiver scored a career-high 37 points to lead Houston to an 84-69 win over the College of Charleston on Sunday at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

McKiver hit nine 3-pointers, tying a school record that he already held.

Dion Dowell added 16 points, and Brockeith Pane scored 10 points for the Cougars (3-1). Tafari Toney had nine points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Tony White scored 19 points to lead the College of Charleston (1-3). Andrew Goudelock scored 12, and Dustin Scott had 10.

College of Charleston turned the ball over 16 times, to only seven times for Houston.

Houston led 41-31 at halftime.
