Ruffin leads Bradley to 65-56 win over Iowa St.

PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Senior Daniel Ruffin had a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Bradley to a 65-56 win over Iowa State on Wednesday.

Jeremy Crouch added eight points and five other Braves had six points each. No other Bradley player scored in double figures.

Rahshon Clark and Diante Garrett led Iowa State (2-1) with 13 points. Bryan Petersen added 12 points.

The Cyclones led 5-0 to start the game and 31-30 at the half, but Bradley (1-1) climbed back into the contest with a 9-0 run to start the second half.

Iowa State closed to within two points at 50-48 with 9:03 remaining in the second half, but never got any closer.

The Braves shot 58.3 percent from the floor in the second half, compared to 39.1 percent for Iowa State. Bradley also had 12 fast-break points to just four for the Cyclones.

Bradley has not lost two consecutive games to start a season since 1995-96.
