Hasbrouck scores 20 as Siena beats Fairleigh Dickinson 88-66
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP)—Kenny Hasbrouck scored 20 points and had six steals to lead Siena to an 88-66 win over Fairleigh Dickinson Tuesday in the consolation game of the NIT Season Tip-off.
Siena (1-2) had lost to Syracuse (2-0) 97-89, and Fairleigh Dickinson (0-2) dropped an 86-66 decision to Saint Joseph’s in the opening round.
Siena’s 13 steals, part of 22 turnovers by the Knights, gave the Saints 26 points off turnovers. Late in the first half, Siena took advantage of seven of those to take control with a 9-0 run and never looked back.
Alex Franklin added 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Siena. Edwin Ubiles had 15, Tay Fisher 12 and Josh Duell 10. All of Fisher’s points came from the 3-point arc.
Siena guard Ronald Moore distributed the ball liberally, recording nine assists.
John Galvin paced Fairleigh Dickinson with 20 points. Manny Ubilla had 18, Sean Baptiste scored 12 and Bernell Murray had 10.
