BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP)—Indiana connected on nine 3-pointers in the first half, finished with 17 to tie a school record and completed its first perfect home season in 13 years with a 94-63 rout of Penn State on Saturday.

The victory gave the Hoosiers (20-9, 10-6) a No. 3 seed in next week’s Big Ten tournament and their first 20-win regular season since Bob Knight left in 2000. Indiana couldn’t have scripted a better home finale to impress the NCAA tournament selection committee.

Rod Wilmont finished with 21 in his final home game, connecting on four 3s. A.J. Ratliff came off the bench to score 18 points, making his first six 3s, and Earl Calloway added 15 points including three 3s.

Geary Claxton led the Nittany Lions (11-18, 2-14) with 25 points, but Penn State wasted his incredibly efficient first half. Claxton scored 17 points in the first 20 minutes, making 7-of-13 shots from the field while grabbing four rebounds.

Penn State dropped to 0-14 all-time in Bloomington and finished the regular-season with 14 losses in 15 games.

This one came courtesy of Indiana’s unbelievable shooting.

The Hoosiers shot 64 percent from the field in the first half and used runs of 11-2 and 10-2 to build a 43-31 halftime lead.

It continued in the second half. When Wilmont hit Indiana’s 15th 3-pointer with 4:53 left, it gave the Hoosiers a 78-52 lead and a new season-best. Indiana’s previous high was 14—also against Penn State. Lance Stemler’s 3 in the closing seconds tied the school record set against Illinois in 2002.
