Arkansas State 76, Louisiana-Monroe 68
JONESBORO, Ark. (AP)—Adrian Banks scored 19 of a game total 25 points in the second half to lead Arkansas State to a 76-68 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.
Ryan Wedel added 19 points and Isaac Wells scored 10 along with nine rebounds.
Arkansas State (14-4, 9-7 Sun Belt Conference) overcame a slow start and a 17-point first-half deficit to get the win.
The Indians started with a couple of turnovers resulting in an 8-0 run by the Warhawks. Wedel made three 3-pointers to bring the Indians to within six points with 2:35 remaining in the half.
Louisiana-Monroe took a 36-29 halftime lead as Jonas Brown and Darien Bynum each scored 12.
Brown led Louisiana-Monroe (16-12, 10-6) with 20 points. Darien Bynum added 15 and Lance Brasher scored 11. Gerard Jackson led ULM in rebounding with seven.
