Nicholls St 65, Texas-San Antonio 54 OT

SAN ANOTNIO (AP)—Adonis Gray scored 23 points to lead Nicholls State to a 65-54 overtime win Saturday night over Texas-San Antonio.

Texas-San Antonio led by one near the end of regulation but fouled Ryan Bathie on a 3-point attempt as time expired. Bathie hit the first free throw to tie the game. He missed the next two, when either one would have won the game. Bathie finished with 16 points for the Colonels (5-20, 4-7 Southland).

The Colonels routed the Roadrunners in the extra period, outscoring them 11-0. Texas-San Antonio missed all seven field goal attempts in overtime.

Melvin Smith and Ryan Williams led the Roadrunners (6-17, 2-8) with 11 points apiece. Keith Spencer grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
